Heritage

The word ‘Denim’ is derived from the French word 'Serge de Nîmes', meaning 'twill woven fabric' (a French technique). It already existed in the late seventeenth century, but it was not until the middle of the nineteenth century that its use became popular in America. Thanks to the industrial revolution, denim became the go-to workwear for the working class. Flashforward to the present day, denim is not to be missed in any wardrobe as it has become an integral part of the daily wardrobe. So to say: denim goes way back.

What else goes way back? Class! That classic, posh way of dressing. Denim however has never been associated with class because of it workwear nature. When we think of a “gentlemen style” we rarely picture him in a full denim outfit like a pair of jeans and a denim jacket. We are here to change that. Because gentlemen and denim are a perfect fit!
